About

This workshop is led by Troy Dearmitt.

This session will provide you with a high-level introduction to databases. We will discuss what a database is, what makes them so popular, what they look like, who makes them, how to interact with them and how you can install one on your own workstation. If you are interested in understanding more about database technology because you either want to do more work with them or because you'd like to be more conversant about them, this session will give you a good foundational understanding of what they are, when they might be used, and how you can begin using one minutes after the session.
